There are 2 main types of rentals:

- Short Term Rentals (seasonal rentals);

- Long term rentals.

In this section, we will give you the main differences between these 2 types of rentals in order for you to better understand and choose the one that best suits you. Of course, in real estate matters, location is one of the most important aspects.

Depending on the location of your property, it may be more interesting for you to choose one or the other type of rental or you may have no choice and have to opt for a long-term rental (since your property is located in a restriction zone - published in the Official Gazette on 22 August 2018, Law No. 62/2018, which approved a series of changes to the legal regime for the operation of local accommodation establishments).

Then there are criteria such as typology, furnished/unfurnished, parking-garage, near shops, near the beach, etc.... that influence the choice of renting.

In this article we will talk about the main lines concerning private landlords rather than businesses.
